You may have heard other tribute bands claim to be, “The most accurate portrayal of the original” or, “The most authentic – sounding recreation,” etc . . . but when you experience Winds of Thor perform the music of Led Zeppelin, you will truly believe that John Bonham is alive, and that John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, and Jimmy Page are by his side. Winds of Thor will make you feel as though you’ve been transported to London, England, circa: nineteen seventy – something with a front row pass to the greatest rock & roll band of all time: Led Zeppelin.
Winds of Thor was founded in 2005 with a simple yet passionate shared philosophy: to pay homage to the musical wizardry of Led Zeppelin. Winds of Thor has been performing the music of Led Zeppelin steadily since then, quickly spreading through the Midwest and beyond. The average Winds of Thor performance is typically two to three hours long, featuring acoustic guitars, mandolin, harmonica, and keyboards, as well as electric bass, electric guitar, explosive drums, and howling vocals. Their dynamic repertoire, combined with passionate impromptu jams interwoven into the music, has earned them the reputation of being the closest thing to seeing Led Zeppelin in their glory days.
