Winds of Thor was founded in 2005 with a simple yet passionate shared philosophy: to pay homage to the musical wizardry of Led Zeppelin.

Winds of Thor has been performing the music of Led Zeppelin steadily since then, quickly spreading through the Midwest and beyond.

Their dynamic repertoire, interwoven with virtuoso impromptu jams, has earned them the reputation of being the closest thing to seeing Led Zeppelin in their glory days.

Doug has been playing guitar since the age of fetus. Music is such a huge part of his life he was once hospitalized after breaking his G-String. Doug, always the professional, has seemlessly stepped into the role of Jimmy Page and has eerily captured Jimmy’s larger-than-life persona on stage. Doug is an accomplished song writer with over 250 songs written, and continues to write songs at a mind blowing rate.

Doug is very involved in the music scene, and also portrays W. Axl Rose in a nationally touring Guns ‘n’ Roses tribute act, as well as fronting an original collaboration called Serpentarius. Winds of Thor is pleased to have him aboard.

Phil started playing piano when he was nine, and switched to drums at fifteen after hearing John Bonham’s drumming on Led Zeppelin albums.

Phil is very involved in the music scene playing in several tribute bands and origanal bands, as well as managing and running several local acts.

Phil has been playing semi-professionally for over twenty years. Most notably, he played drums for the  Pieter Holland band,  fronted by Pieter Holland, who has played with Steven Stills and Tina Turner. Phil is also an accomplished guitarist and bassist, and has fronted several acoustic acts.

Phil’s last project was a band called The Voodoo Clowns, which was a theatrical rock cover band from Florida. Phil toured all over the state of Florida with them from Tampa, to Miami, to Ft. Lauderdale.

Phil is very excited to be playing Zeppelin material and to have the chance to emulate his idol, John Bonham.

Jason has been playing guitar, bass, and keyboards, along with a variety of instruments that are not so \"rock oriented\" for over 15, years.

Jason spends his days playing and writing music. His musical tastes are very diverse, with Led Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, and Jethro Tull as major influences.

Jason is a consummate professional and plays in several original, cover, and tribute acts as well.

Jason is a true student of music and his performance and playing abilities increase by the day.

Anthony Moser began to show an interest in music around the age of 2, attracted to groups like Def Leppard, Van Halen, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. As he grew older, he also became drawn to blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, and Robert Johnson.

Tony has fronted an array of bands since his early teens. He has experience singing every style from blues, to rock, to heavy metal. He is strongly inspired by Robert Plant, and he considers him to be the greatest and most challenging rock vocalist of all time.

In addition to singing, Tony is also a classically trained pianist and has been playing drums since the age of 13. Tony is excited about taking his musical pursuits to the next level with Winds Of Thor.
